The Nomatic Navigator Travel Backpack was built to maximise how and what you carry on your back, perfectly balancing the need to offer generous amounts of space but still maintain a lightweight, premium sense of comfort and support to help lighten the load.

The shell is built with a sturdy 840D ballistic nylon with durable water resistant materials, seamlessly incorporating premium features like YKK water resistant zippers and metal hardware to help offer something supremely rugged and more than ready for you to put through the toughest road tests.

With smart, subtle branding around the bag, including a ‘Life on the Move’ branding on the luggage pass-through, the Nomatic Navigator Travel Backpack looks as good as it performs, giving you a sleek, attractive shell that’s capable of carrying up to 5 days worth of clothing as a well as a laptop up to 17-inches.

Clearly, the company has put plenty of thought into working this as an all-day backpack, even pushing through to the nighttime with various, unobtrusive reflective detailing to add visibility. This is included on the front face, with very subtle bars, as well as on the padded and removable hip belt that’s part of the comprehensive harness system around the back of the pack.

Scanning the front of the shell, you would find some hypalon loops on either side of the bag, allowing you to attach various other gear to the exterior, along with adjustable accessory straps to compress anything down to keep it all nice and tidy.

Nomatic Navigator has included padded haul handles on every side of the bag, a considered feature that allows it to be picked up from any direction quickly and carried comfortably, whether it’s from the boot of a car or an overhead compartment on a flight.

For those longer hikes, there’s a gusseted water bottle pocket on the side that can easily fit a large water bottle, and sit flush with the bag’s slim profile when not in use.

Around the back of the shell you’ve got the very well considered harness system, with thick padding and contoured shoulder straps with EVA foam, ergonomically designed to fit with the body during movement while YKK load lifters help keep weight nice and even. A very flexible sternum strap has six points of adjustment, at which it can be secured onto the body for a better overall fit.

The entire back panel is custom molded and designed in a way that allows for perfect airflow at all times, reiterating Nomatic Navigator’s long-standing experience in creating reliable, road-worthy travel carry.

Inside the front compartment of the bag, revealed through an easy zip opening, you will find two mesh pockets for small quick-access pieces, with another zippered pocket towards the back of the compartment for anything you’d like to keep separate, like some snacks or mints. Just inside of the opening for this compartment you will notice a tiny loop which can be pulled out, providing a tiny secure hole for the zipper to feed through and essentially lock the compartment to deter any potential thieves.

A zipper on the top of the bag, towards the front, reveals the second biggest compartment of the bag, with the frontmost flap folding with gusseted sides for a wider opening. Inside, a number of zippered pockets allow for a great deal of organisation for various smaller pieces of cargo, right alongside bigger stretchy pockets for bigger items like headphones or jackets. On one side of the bag is an RFID safe pocket for secure storage of a passport, right next to two pen slots just for added convenience to anyone travelling with important documents.

An easy-access pocket sits behind this compartment, accessible with a separate zipline and purposely kept shallow for smaller items like smartphones or earphones. Here, the interior lining is fleece, so it also offers superior scratch protection for whatever is inside.

The main compartment benefits from a clamshell opening, maintaining perfect visibility over both sides of the bag. On one end is a generous space that can fit various packing cubes or a traditional stack of clothing that can be compressed down with a simple strap. Towards the sides are two more zippered pockets to keep smaller pieces separate.

Over on the other side of the bag are two larger zippered mesh pockets that are perfect for various cables and other important bits and pieces, especially valuable for those living a tech-centric lifestyle who carry around a lot of gear.

The final compartment here is a separate laptop section, which is big enough for fit up to a 17-inch device, perfectly protected from impact with a suspended positioning. Uniquely, this laptop compartment can be easily and quickly accessed from the side, keeping it completely separate from all the other cargo in the bag so you won’t have to knock around anything else if you just want to grab your laptop in a rush.
