Patagonia built the Black Hole™ backpack with an urban aesthetic and an alpine psyche to scoff at the full gambit of abuse from mud-caked streets to rough granite ridges. Tough and highly weather-resistant, it protects your gear from scuffs, scrapes and miles of rough handling.
The large main pocket holds the lion’s share, with an internal sleeve to carry most 15" laptops or a hydration reservoir, and a mesh pocket equipped with a key keeper and an organiser panel to hold your phone and small items. The bucket-style opening replaces a traditional lid and contains a small stash pocket that seals with a reverse-coil zipper. Daisy chain lash points secure a skateboard or yoga mat and a stealthy zippered front pocket holds quick-access items. With padded shoulder straps for comfort and a moulded back panel that sheds moisture and allows a cooling airflow.
Made from 13-oz 450-denier polyester ripstop (50% solution-dyed) with a TPU-film laminate and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Fabric is bluesign® approved.
“Great backpack. Great backpack. Functional enough, handy compartments. Bigger than it appears on the website.”
“Super! Use this on my bike as it's light and waterproof! .”
“Great Allrounder. This bag is so versatile and about the perfect size for me. I use it for just about everything and the colour combination looks great.”
“Tested at the end of the earth. I bought this pack for use in antarctica as i work as a dive guide and expedition guide. I was looking for a small to medium pack i could use for shore landings for carrying a first aid kit, spare radio etc, something other than a dry bag. The finish is water resistant enough that everything inside stays dry from the sea spray on the zodiac ride, and is easy to wipe clean (of the dried salt). I find the zipper opening more convenient than a drybag roll top, and exposes the entire opening. At 25l, there was more than enough room for everything i needed. I also chose this back because it doesn't have a waste strap - i don't need one. I recommend this back for day to day use in the city or for day hikers or climbers that may get the odd shower. Anything heavier may be too much for the finish to handle.”
“Perfect bag for travelling in Japan in winter. Loved it, it's the second one i've bought and perfect for winter travels! I've spilt a bottle of water in it and nothing leaked out - much to my disgust as my laptop got damaged!”
“Everything you need. This pack has it all - lightweight, weather resistant, roomy, great zip placement for peace of mind, seriously stylish. 10/10!”
