The new Lamy Econ mechanical pencil is pure design for Aesthetes. The Econ pen range combines distilled functional elements, discriminating aesthetic inclusions and high-grade materials. Created in collaboration with the awarded Austrian design practice, EOOS, the Lamy Econ pen is the epitome of considered product design.
The Lamy Econ mechanical pencil has been reduced to 3 clearly demarked visual elements : the triangular tapering nose, the cylindrical housing (barrel and button) and the elongated rectangular clip. The barrel incorporates an innovative grip zone, consisting of two narrow longitudinal notches on the sides for finger positioning. The clip features a longitudinal mounting and gently rolled end, injecting discreet design flare. A simple button mechanism engages and disengages the 0.7mm pencil tip and there is a replaceable eraser under the cap.
The Lamy Econ mechanical pencil is an all-metal construction. The stainless steel barrel has been sandblasted to create a satin, velvet texture with contrasting solid chromed metal trim on the nose and button.
