Made from the same fabric that's used to carry gear on high-altitude expeditions, this durable laptop sleeve fits laptops up to 15.4".
In this busy world where people are inundated with "things", I had decided that less is more. So I started by carrying less stuff around with me, which meant I had to downsize from my big backpack to something much simpler and less bulky.
I basically travel to and from work each day in my car so I don't really need a big bag to carry my stuff in. I also wanted something slimline and something I could easily sling over my shoulder when I needed my hands free to carry something else. For work I really only need my trusty 15" Macbook Pro, power adaptor, mouse and a few notes. I decided to give this North Face Base Camp Laptop Brief a go.
The first thing I noticed was the fantastic padding around the bag. Anything I put my laptop into must have extremely good padding or I won't trust it. So that was a good sign. The rest of the bag was pretty standard, it has a front organiser section which is a bit tricky to get into but I got use to it fairly quickly. The organiser section has a keyring hanger, which I actually use to keep them out of my pocket - I never used that feature on my previous bags for some reason but this one seems to work for me.
The shoulder pad on this bag is actually extremely comfortable. I have used the bag on a few interstate trips and it definitely helps to have that when you're dragging another piece of luggage around.
All in all, I'm very pleased with the bag. I've been using it since August 2009 and will be keeping it for awhile.
“Great sleeve hybrid. I'm very pleased with this purchase. The bag was in tip top condition and my laptop fit in it perfectly. Delivery was also so fast.”
