All The North Face women's packs are subjected to extensive women-specific fit tests. These fit tests ensure that hipbelts and shoulder harnesses anatomically confirm to a woman's shape to provide comfort during extended use.
Designed specifically for women, this daypack offers a large main compartment that holds laptops up to 15", and boasts an additional pocket with a built-in organisational structure. The Amira is similar to the coveted Recon daypack, but redesigned to mirror a female's stature.
The North Face has applied some uncomprimising standards for quality and design to everday equipment, like travel luggage and daypacks, which need to endure abuse of a differnt nature.
“North Face Amira backpack. Although this is an attractive backpack, it is not as functional as i would have liked. The design has two zipped pocket sections, with the back pocket having a padded iternal pocket for a laptop. However, once a laptop and a reasonable sized book are in the bag, there is no more room. Unfortuanltely the design of the material on the sides of the bag do not allow much room. But the panelling is larger at the bootom, which means if you can squeeze something in the top, you can fit it in at the bottom. Just don't try to get it out again. The also means that if the front pocket is fairly full, there is even less room in the back pocket. Other than this, the front pocket has lots of internal pockets which are quite handy. The harness is excellent, and once on, the bag feels well balanced. Wider side panels would have made this bag almost perfect.”
“great. Nice sized backpack- suitable to carry laptop. Comfortable straps. All round great backpack!”
