This pack is named after a kind hearted, adventure seeking, futsal playing friend of Ethnotek from Surakarta, Wayu. Like him, it’s always ready for another day’s adventure. Not too big, not too small, this 840-denier water resistant ballistic nylon pack carries everything you need for exploration, making it perfect for students, hikers, and urban travellers.
All Ethnotek bags feature interchangeable front panels, called THREADs. They can be removed from the main pack and changed as your mood desires, also enabling the bag to also be worn bare/black if the situation requires. THREADs are sourced directly from local artisans around the globe including India, Africa, Guatemala, Indonesia and Asia. These fabrics not only give life to the bag but also support communities and help keep traditional craft forms alive.
PLEASE NOTE: As THREADs are made by hand by local artisans, the pattern and colour order may vary slightly from piece to piece, but will be representative of the bag you have purchased.
Ethnotek have an incredible story that goes much deeper than we have space for here. To learn more about Ethnotek and their mission to keep culture alive, check out this post about the Ethnotek story over at our Whiteboard Blog.

“Your customer service is impeccable!! Someone from the company texted me on a weekend to apologise for something not being in stock, and offered to replace it with a more expensive item at no cost to me. They were lovely and very informative. The items arrived very quickly and in great condition. Thank you so much! :-).”
