The Eastpak Padded Pak'r backpack was first constructed way back in 1976 when Eastpak's founder's son came up with an idea to produce simple backpacks for university students. Before this, Eastpak was known as 'Eastern Canvas Products' and was manufacturing high quality duffles and backpacks for the U.S. Army.

The Padded Pakr is a simple classic backpack with one large compartment and a front zippered pocket. It has thick padded shoulder straps and a padded back panel to maximise comfort. That's it - simple.

When developing the company from an army supplier to the brand it is today, Eastpak stayed true to their heritage by constructing it from one square piece of military strength fabric. This process reduces the number of seams required in the bag and the remaining seams are double stitched for extra strength.

We like the Padded Pak'r Daypack because of it's simplicity, quality and heritage. It's a pack that you can take anywhere and it'll never get in the way. Pack your jumper, water bottle, iPad and interchangeable lens camera, then hit the city. You'll have everything you need and nothing you don't. Your pack will remain subtle and look great.

  • Large main compartment
  • Zippered front pocket to stash small stuff
  • Comfortable padded back
  • Thick padded shoulder straps
  • Top carry handle makes it easy to pick up

Customer Reviews

  • “Awesome. Bag is nice and spacious, gotta love eastpak.”
Jake H from PARKWOOD, WA, Australia
  • “A sturdy bag that will last for years. I\'ve owned two of these bags myself and bought others for friends who love them as much as i do. I find they last around 10 years which is fantastic for a bag. After a while the inner lining starts to fall apart but so far the straps and zips have never broken. And my bags get a lot of use so i\'m pretty impressed. It has a 30 year warranty too!”
Melissa B from Chapel Hill, QLD, Australia
  • “Great little back pack. This is a great little back pack for casual use. Plenty of room to carry all you need comfortable to carry. Very well made.”
Sue M from Mill Park, VIC, Australia
  • “Great bag, strong and solid. I bought this bag for my son after his eastpak fthat we bought in holland, had been stolen on new years eve. He was very sad to lose his old eastpak due to good memories with it but he\'s very happy with his new eastpak. Thanks for the great service.”
Everdina v from Bowen, QLD, Australia
  • “Best backpacks around - PAKR. Love it. Got 3 pakr\'s now. And love them all (i think i bought them all from rushfaster too! ).”
Michael H from East Brisbane, QLD, Australia
  • “A Great Allrounder. Love this back pack. It is so attractive and withstood a lot of kicking around by husband who was tired of traipsing around with anything on his back. There was a bit of fabric wear from his abuse, that\'s why i purchased another one. It is a great holdall and great for travelling. You can lock it if you want. Comfy straps, but, no waist belt. Not that mu husband or i would have worn it. It held so much stuff and looked great as well.”
Gina D from Wellard, WA, Australia
