There is only one way to make a bag truly waterproof – by welding its seams. For the Barrage Rolltop Chrome have combined a Welded-Waterproof floating interior bucket lining with an abrasion resistant CORDURA® Brand grade outer shell to make the toughest waterproof rolltop bag possible. It features a low-profile design and side compression straps for load stabilisation and increased visibility, an external cargo net to haul gear on the outside, and a Welded-Waterproof bucket liner that can keep personal items bone dry in any weather. As an indication of its size, the Barrage fits about 2-3 stacked 6-packs of beer in the waterproof compartment. The Barrage adapts to accommodate a range of cargo. The main compartment expands from 22L to 34L and features an expandable cargo net with compression straps for securing various cargo shapes and sizes.

Each Barrage is made with military grade materials and specifications. The 100% Welded-Waterproof bucket liner is made with 600 denier truck tarpaulin. The abrasion resistant outer shell is made with 1000 denier CORDURA® Brand grade Nylon. Like all Chrome bags, the Barrage is Guaranteed for Life.

Customer Reviews

  • “Amazing Commuter Bag. I love this bag, a little heavier than others, but amazing quality, and love the fact that it is completely waterproof and have the ability to store my helmet in the webbing! I won’t be buying a bag for a little while after completely falling in love with the chrome barrage.”
Rob D from Hackett, ACT, Australia
  • “From city commute to hiking. Chrome kept the design of the bag simple, which makes versatile. Weatherproof allows worry free city commute, hiking. And the cargo net allows me to carry dive gears (fins/mask). Fantastic and urban styled bag.”
Chance O from Hobart, TAS, Australia
  • “Great comfortable backpack, look and feel tough. Happy with the pack. Compact size, enough for everyday commute to work without being bulky. It is comfortable on your back even when carrying heavy loads. The build quality is what you would expected from the bag on this category and price.”
Alex W from Mascot, NSW, Australia
  • “One of the best backpacks I’ve ever purchased. I was nervous about buying the chrome barrage because i wasn’t sure if it was going to be big enough, and also wasn’t sure if it would be too narrow. My concerns about size are valid - it’s a deep bag but because the material is very thick and waterproof, it isn’t easy to get into and widen so you literally have to get your whole arm to go in. In saying that i still got quite a lot in. I love the material, the colour, the quality of all the straps and buckles. I love the roll up buckle. And it sits so nicely on the back. Some people have reviewed that the back material allows air - i disagree and get quite hot. One of the disappointments. Other disappointment is lack of places for wallet and keys. Last plus is how easy water bottle goes in. However it and the other pouches including the front one, takes up space from the bag if you use it.”

  • “Appears to meet my criteria for a strong and rugged waterproof pack for wet conditions . Not yet tested in the field.”
Andrew W from South Fremantle, WA, Australia
  • “Great for bag for school and gym. I had a herschel for two years and it always looked bulky with my gym stuff (gloves, wraps etc). Love the chrome bag. Great padding on the straps so my shoulders don't feel sore. I can walk in the rain with no worries and also, love the mesh. Gives more options for me to carry around my gym gears and school stuff. Just note there is no padding/cushion for laptops so you have to account for a laptop and sleeve taking up a bit of space in the bag.”
Atika M from Hawthorn East, VIC, Australia
  • “All rounder. This perfect for my commute to work & weekend activities.”
Scott C from Middle Park, VIC, Australia
  • “Awesome travel bag. Ideal for travel as it is able to carry a lot of stuff. I used the cargo net to carry my jacket when boarding the plane, and could easily access it without needing to open the main compartment of the bag. The bag is also deeper than it seems, allowing me to carry more items. The sides allows the bag to be tightened and compact, which makes the bag looks neat and less bulky. Overall, loving the bag!”
Dinah T from Brisbane, QLD, Australia
  • “So good! The barrage cargo is the best cycling backpack i've used the bag keeps the load distribution really close to your back which gives max stability while riding, the size is perfect and it now has a stash pocket concealed behind the cargo net. Definitely recommend this bag.”
Jay T from Subiaco, WA, Australia
  • “Most versatile bag I\'ve ever owned. .”
