This collaboration between two leading brands combines Carryology's expertise in rugged gear with Bellroy's commitment to sleek, functional design. The result? A sling that effortlessly blends style, durability, and functionality for the ultimate carry experience.
In Bellroy's quest for the perfect fabric, structure became a key focus. It had to be tough, abrasion-resistant, water-resistant, with a great hand-feel, while maintaining structure and looking fantastic. After experimenting with various fabrics, they found the ideal solution: Bellroy’s pigmented 100% recycled BAIDA nylon fabric. This fabric, previously featured in their Bellroy x Carryology Essentials pouches, such as the Pencil Case and Tech Kit, exceeded expectations even for those small products. Its ability to meet every requirement, from durability to aesthetics, makes it the perfect choice for the Chimera Sling
As for its construction, a leather top layer, a ripstop flat yarn mid-layer, and a balance woven nylon backing make up an incredible three-layer composite. Just like the Chimera Backpack, ECCO’s bonded ripstop leather covers the front panel in one glorious piece.
The exterior of the Chimera Sling boasts several functional features. A hidden zipper beneath the ECCO ripstop leather edge provides access to a spacious compartment, ideal for a sunglasses case. Two Gigamesh pockets with four-way stretch keep loose items secure, while a key lanyard with Trimmers T3 Clip Hook allows for easy access to keys. On the backside, a secure pocket with a lay-flat zipper offers space for larger items like a mini tablet or passport, ensuring they stay close to your body for added security.

- Performance leather - The technical composite from ECCO pairs a layer of premium leather with a mesh ripstop backing. For an ultra luxe handfeel with impressive durability and strength.
- Super strap - The padded, ambidextrous strap also features a grab handle that gives you something to hold while fastening or undoing the buckle. It also doubles as a carry handle.
- Custom Fidlock V-Buckle - They worked directly with Fidlock to create one magnetic, quick-lock, quick-release buckle that securely connects two different widths of webbing on the strap.
- Inspired attachment loops - The webbing loops on each end of the sling allow the metal strap clips to slide and pivot for the perfect fit. They were inspired by climbing harnesses and double as grab handles.
